Saweetie was in the crossfire of colorism discourse over the weekend after an old clip from an interview she had with Too Short resurfaced.

Saweetie gave fellow rapper Too $hort some education in a conversation about interracial relationships via Instagram Live. Too $hort made it known that he prefers "the mix" as he put it, and Saweetie let him know Black women of all backgrounds are beautiful.
