Now the the election is over, the work continues. For Byrd that culminates in years of organizing around the liberation of Black people who are on one track to be free in a country which routinely weaponizes against them.

The almost 4-minute speech was delivered by Keijah Brooks, a 20-year-old local organizer and founder of "The Chingona Collective," a queer-inclusive, intersectional organization which advocates for the collective power of Black and indigenous women.
