Back to the last point, older millennials are young enough to understand there are many ways we’ve done things for many years that aren’t right, but a little too old to know just what those things are. They aren’t ahead of the curve on identifying a new way we must eliminate oppressing and sexist and racist and inappropriate traditions. They’re always just behind it, frantically scrambling to delete Tweets and emails after learning they may have said or done something they weren’t supposed to. I can’t count the number of 40-something men who’ve said they wonder when the ax will drop on them in the #MeToo movement. Meanwhile, young millennial men know just what to do to make sure that never happens.

A new report claims that the birth rate in the United States is declining, keeping up with a trend that has been taking place for decades. Millennials have more than a few reasons why this is the case.

The younger generation disdains the 9 to 5 life. They wrongfully bash the 9 to 5 corporate life, believing it’s the death of the soul. They’re all driving Uber while pursuing a passion project with no plan for retirement, and many without health insurance.

I feel like these days, everybody has some friend—who is just a friend—whom they’ve slept with. It might be someone who was a long-term friends-with-benefits, who resorted back to being a friend. Something tells me my grandmother didn’t have some male friends that she hung out with regularly, whom she also once slept with.

As I write this I’m approaching the end of the work week that I am very much looking forward to. Working at a sexual and reproductive health non-profit, political correctness is pretty much work place policy and many of us find ourselves walking on eggshells to use language that makes everyone feel included and safe.
