Sometimes he will just start asking philosophical questions like, how do you know someone is your soul mate? Or do you think people who break up can get back together? Or do you think there is such thing as the right people but the wrong time and place?
Processing heartbreak is an important part of understanding why the heartbreak happened. In fact, if you’re bold enough to break it down, you may even see how it was so clear that that relationship was wrong for you. That’s a gift you only receive if you’re willing to process.
You probably still have some important lessons to learn from your last relationship—lessons that will enhance your chances of finding a better relationship next time. But you need alone time to really think about those. If you don’t take that time, you could repeat your mistakes.
