If you’re trying to follow the daily guidelines on meat consumption, but worry about feeling hungry or tired, it’s important to know about these vegetables that are high in protein.
Think of some of the items you’ve already come around to, like passionfruit and jicama—that stuff looks bizarre in its raw, untouched form. And yet, you love to put passion fruit in your fruit smoothies and dip jicama in your hummus and ranch dressing. So open your mind a bit more again.
Red meat falls under the category of butter in that its dangers have been blown far out of proportion. There have been many studies that may suggest it increases the chances of death however those studies tend to look at massive groups, without adjustment for other lifestyle factors, so the numbers can be vague and misleading. Ultimately, there is also no conclusive evidence that red meat poses a true and severe threat to our health when consumed in moderation.
I just talk more about my food choices. Even if I’m talking to myself, out loud, I’m putting healthy eating thoughts out into the atmosphere. They’re seeping into his subconscious. If I make popcorn I say out loud, “I should put cayenne pepper on instead of butter. Fewer calories.”
