Many of our traditional venues for dates are closed, or just unsafe. And there are just so many times you can meet someone for a social distancing walk before you get bored. You want to do fun and dynamic things with your dates. So, here are some COVID-19 friendly first date ideas.

Think about it. A good dater. Can’t you just see him now. He knows exactly when to fake being quirky and self-conscious, but even that is a contrived act. He’s good at making small talk and seeming genuine. Barf. It’s normal for first dates to be a bit clunky and awkward. Don’t be good at first dates—I think that makes you a sociopath.

“I was going to sit next to you but I want you to feel comfortable so I’ll sit over here.” Wonderful. You get a trophy for…not disrespecting my physical boundaries? You could just respect them and not make a whole thing about it.

Whether a family member laundered money, or cheated on his spouse, this is private, and not something you should share with a first date. You never know what someone’s intentions are, or how they may use information against you.
