controlling boyfriend
A possessive partner will influence the way you think for the worse.
Looking back, I realize I was going through similar phases and exhibiting common behaviors during those times. Controlling men don’t just come out of nowhere. Here are the reasons you might be attracting them.
You won’t really take compliments for your accomplishments. If your date tries to tell you that your work is impressive, you downplay it. In fact, you say things like, “A monkey could do it. It’s really easy. Nothing to be impressed about.” To a controlling man, this says one very important thing: low self-esteem.
When the beta male wants to get laid, he’ll complain that you two never have sex. And while it’s good that you initiate sex sometimes, he expects you to all of the time. If you don’t, he just whines and throws a tantrum about it.
You also bail if a guy pays you too much attention and flattery in the beginning. Calling to compliment you and send you gifts every day is how controlling men hook you in the beginning.
If she doesn’t complain about the relationship, she talks about how perfect it is and how marvelous her partner is. It’s either one or the other: she loves him or hates him that day. When she loves him, she talks about the ways he is “improving” (aka changing/controlling/manipulating) her.
Before you find “the one,” you’ll date a bunch of other ones.
It's time you get a grip on this relationship
