What you are saying is that the dynamic that existed before is acceptable. You may say with your words, “Things will be different” but they won’t be because you’re still you and he is still himself.
Things could always be worse but, if you’re in a great relationship, you shouldn’t find yourself saying that. You should find yourself saying, “Things literally couldn’t be better.”
