If you think a younger boyfriend or husband will keep you youthful, we’ve got news for you: he might just put you in an early grave. Research has found that having a male partner who is between seven to nine years younger increases a woman’s mortality rate by 20 percent.

In a recent interview, John David Washington spoke with Variety about his new film Malcolm and Marie, and the controversial age gap between him and co-star Zendaya, which has been causing lots of buzz in anticipation for the film's premiere on Feb. 5th via Netflix. 

My dad and I have had to get some documents notarized over the years—financial documents—and the notary public will always run the, “Do you swear you are signing these documents by your own free will and nobody is pressuring you?” line by my dad. I always feel young when my boyfriend is five to seven years older than I am! Whenever I find myself comparing myself to women ten years younger than me, I go, “Stop that. You will always look like a spring chicken to your boo.”
