Asymmetrical Bob

LOVE this look! It often reminds me of Maxine Shaw from Living Single and her fierce bob that she wore for all those years. Whether the locks are coiled and cropped into an asymmetrical ‘do or are really long like in the first picture, this look is hot and haute.

Colored and Coiled

Seeing ruby red, honey brown, bright blonde or even blue locks just stops me in my tracks when I see lock-wearers out on the streets. They give already already imaginative hair an extra kick of personality with all the way dyed, beautiful highlights or even just colored tips. Curled and twisted locks are also very fresh to me, because not only do they appear very fun and look fly for both men and women, but they also remind me of curly fries…excuse me, I’m a bit hungry…

Creative Contortions

People underestimate all the things a person’s hair can do when it’s in dreadlocks. A great thing about locks is that they can be pulled, turned under, rolled and mohawk-ed into so many creative…creations. The looks above are a great example of that. All you need is a pretty good mirror (and a spare hand mirror to check out the back) and a whooooooole lot of bobby pins to get you started.

Unique Updos

Locks that are morphed into these luxurious updos usually get a great deal of compliments and a good enough amount of ogling from passers-by. They’re very good for special occasions and are extraordinary pieces of work.

Sisterlocks

The cousin twice removed of dreadlocks, sisterlocks are becoming all the rage these days. The tiny, fine locks are popular for allegedly most resembling non-locked hair. They’ve also created some controversy because people can get them even if their hair isn’t natural, and then cut processed hair off after the locks have grown a good length. Either way, I think they’re pretty gorgeous, don’t you?

Okay…so I don’t really have much to say about these two photos (laughs), I just think they’re some pretty fierce updos that deserved their own page to obtain some extra recognition. They’re so intricate…

Dip it Low

Let them thangs hang! I love when locks reach down people’s backs after years of growing and caring for them. But I like them even more when people still find artistic ways to wear their hair down. So many small and big twists on all these individual’s heads in the above picture that you can’t help but be intrigued. So what do you think of these looks? Would you ever consider trying out locks?
