The eighties were some pretty awesome years, what with the “excess” hair-and-makeup trends, and the advent of MTV. Michael Jackson’s Thriller inspired many a leather jacket and “the material girl” Madonna gave us enough skin-tight Lycra and tulle skirts to last, well, a decade. We’ve found a few celebrity madames that “like, totally” captured the essence of fashion in the eighties. You’ll find a glimpse of their fashion statements below…
Beverly Johnson’s 1980s Statement: Big hair and bright, colorful eye shadow, which matches a colorfully printed necklace and blouse.
Grace Jones’ 1980s Statement: A signature punk-shaven head, black gloves, and the shoulder-padded suit popular at that time…not to mention, dramatic eyes and full red lips.
Jody Watley’s 1980s Statement: Long, big and wavy hair, with big hoop earrings and thick, well-defined eyebrows. Full red lips and a matching red bra top.
