Body-positive has come to be associated with plus-size women, but the truth is the phrase applies to all bodies. Being skinny doesn’t mean you automatically love yourself anymore than being short, tall, stocky, curvy, or athletically built does. Being body-positive means you love and accept your body in its current state, even if you’re trying to make improvements to it. It also means you love and accept other figures that are different from yours because all of us are more than our bodies.
So if you’re still on the journey and struggling to love the skin you’re in, recite these body-positive affirmations every day to help you cherish what God and your mama gave you.
