Last night the annual Time 100 Gala was held in New York City and brought out some of the usuals we expect to stun on the red carpet, like Viola Davis, as well as welcome fresh faces like Muslim American sabre fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad.
Though we hate we didn’t see some of our favorites who made the list like Chance the Rapper and Tamika Mallory on the red carpet, we were thrilled to catch Ava DuVernay, Janet Mock, and Colin Kaepernik in a silk dashiki. Check out photos of all the beautiful brown people on the Time 100 red carpet on the next few pages.
