Do You Know "Married At First Sight" Cast Member Sheila Downs?

I know that like me, you all are fans of “Married At First Sight.” The show becomes increasingly more interesting when there are Black people on it, being that you know, we like to see representations of ourselves on the show. The last time we saw that it was with Vanessa and Tre and before them Monet and Vaughn. This upcoming season, we’ll be introduced to Sheila and Nate. While I can’t be sure about whether or not these two will be paired together, I’m willing to bet that’s the case. Either way, now that we know the folks participating in this new season, check out a few things we know about Ms. Sheila, according to Lifetime and a couple of other sources.

She’s 31 years old

Personally, I’ve always found it odd when people in their young twenties signed on to be on the show. Mostly because there is still time, biologically speaking. And honestly, quite a few of us spend a majority, if not all of our twenties in some pretty terrible relationships. Not to say that there isn’t time after 30 either…

Parents have been married for 40 years

So naturally, Downs is looking for that same type of sustainable love.

Downs is a girl from the south Chicago suburbs and she decided to stay in state for her college education.

Director of Operations

That degree served her well because today, she’s the director of operations for a school district in Chicago.

Best friend

Downs is looking for a partner who can ultimately become her ride or die, bestie. We’re not mad at her. It’ll surely be interesting to see if this is the path to that friendship.

Y’all know the Christians are serious about the equally yoked thing. Plus it’ll be hard enough getting to know a complete stranger, let alone negotiating religious politics with him.

According to her Lifetime bio, she has been single for a year and is looking for marriage and is hoping this process works for her. We’re wishing her the best of luck. And I know, I’ll be watching.
