We told you earlier that after all the crotch grabs on stage, the songs together and the red carpet appearances, Nicki Minaj confirmed that she and Meek Mill are over and done with. It’s a shame considering just how hard the rapper worked to be there for her former Philly beau. That includes speaking on his behalf in court, pretty much forgoing her friendship with Drake when he and Meek did battle last year and working to prove they were head over heels in love.

But nothing drives the point home (for celebrities) that you’re in a happy relationship like collaborating with your significant other on a romantic record and letting the love ooze in some colorful music videos. However, when those relationships end, there is nothing more awkward than looking back at those lovey-dovey videos. For fans and folks looking on the outside in though, it’s quite entertaining.

So with that, let’s take a walk down memory lane. Check out former couples during their happier times in videos that they probably regret these days…

When things were fresh and cute, Nicki and her former beau teamed up for “All Eyes on You.” If the song wasn’t mushy enough, there was plenty of PDA, including hair brushing and a swapping of tongues.

In her first high-profile relationship after stepping onto the scene, Ciara and boyfriend Bow Wow kept it quite cute (wearing throwback Ed Hardy tops) in the “Like You” video.

As for her second high-profile relationship, Ciara and 50 Cent got very close (and topless) in their collaboration, “Can’t Leave ‘Em Alone.” 

Before finding her Mr. Right in Russell Wilson, Ciara kissed the biggest frog when she dated Future. Still, they made a beautiful baby boy as well as some great music together when they collaborated on “Body Party,” which he co-wrote and co-produced. She thanked him by dropping it low in the visuals for the hit song.

Ashanti and Nelly were together for quite some time, but they didn’t collaborate musically until near the end of their relationship. The results? “Body on Me” and Nelly’s appearance in Ashanti’s “Good Good” video.

We can’t even say if Christina Milian and Lil Wayne are really completely over and done with, but when they were officially together, they collaborated on her single “Do It.” Of course, booty poppin’ ensued.

Kelis and Nas weren’t just dating but married, and boy, do we miss this pair. Their sexual chemistry was quite apparent during the good times when they collaborated on “Blinfold Me.”

Jordin Sparks didn’t get to sing on “Marry Me” by ex-boyfriend Jason Derulo, but since the song was about her, it only made sense that she appeared all up and through the video.

Their relationship wasn’t public at the time (how old was Brandy in 1995 dating this grown man?), but Brandy loved her some Wanya Morris when they collaborated on the beautiful song “Brokenhearted.”

It’s unclear if these two will ever get on the same page and just be in love (it’s what the public wants already…), but every time Rihanna and Drake collaborate, a hit is created. Not to mention that they look so good together.

With a very young Bobbi Kristina in tow, Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown clapped back at critics of their relationship in the best way they knew how, which was musically with “Something in Common.” We would later find out that things between them were anything but rosy behind the scenes.

Word didn’t really come out about Mya and Silkk the Shocker’s relationship until after things cooled down between them. Still, the chemistry has always been there, whether in her video for “Movin On” or the visuals for his track “Somebody Like Me.”

Remember when Trina and Lil’ Wayne were an item? They didn’t get to show much PDA in the video for their collaboration “Don’t Trip,” but near the end of the clip they got very close.

Rappers Lil Durk and Dej Loaf made their own Love and Basketball moment happen when they worked together on the cute (or cute enough) track, “My Beyoncé.” 

Another now happily divorced pair, TLC’s T-Boz and ex-husband Mack 10 tried to make us feel the love when they collaborated on “Tight 2 Def.”
