Marsha Ambrosius And Fiancé Dez Billups Introduce Newborn Nyla

After months of watching Marsha Ambrosius and fiancé Dez Billups be absolutely adorable on social media as she went through her pregnancy, the singer quietly gave birth to her first child. They finally gave us a glimpse at their bundle of joy on Instagram on Christmas. Talk about the perfect present:

The little lady’s name is Nyla.

When Ambrosius had her baby shower in November, we not only found out about her plans to name her first child Nyla, but we also found out that Billups popped the question. They reenacted the big moment while doing the mannequin challenge with friends and family:

The pair met while Ambrosius was doing the Floetry reunion tour in 2015. ICYMI, she revealed that she was pregnant during this past summer’s ESSENCE Fest. When speaking to EBONY in August, the singer opened up about the ways in which being pregnant and in love have impacted her songwriting.

“Right now my creative connection to music is one step closer to the Lord, because I’m having a baby,” she said. “I know it sounds deep but this is insane. There’s something way bigger than me going on and if I felt it before, I feel it more intensely than I ever did because I’m about to be a mother to a baby girl, future wife to [someone] who is going to make a wonderful husband.”

Congratulations to the couple on their blessing and for absolutely slaying the onesie game as a family (the dog included)!
