Jurnee Smollett-Bell And Husband Josiah Welcome Son, Hunter Zion

Underground star Jurnee Smollett-Bell and husband Josiah Bell have welcomed their first child into the world: Hunter Zion Bell.

She shared the news of her baby boy’s arrival on Instagram last night:

The 30-year-old actress married singer Josiah Bell in 2010. She told The Hollywood Reporter that their bond is strong because they were friends long before they started dating. He knows her better than just about anyone else, so there’s no need to fake the funk in their relationship.

“We were best friends before we started even dating, so we had this really great foundation, she said. “I think one of the challenging things about any lasting relationship is that you have to be so vulnerable. I think as human beings we try to hide our flaws and try to present this perfect person, this person we wish we were to our spouse when that causes so many troubles.”

After years up building upon that foundation, the pair are now parents. It’s crazy to see the little girl we used to follow from On Our Own and Eve’s Bayou grow up to be a beautiful wife and mother. Where did the time go?!
