Men who love their moms are a blessing. In many cases, how your babe treats his mom is a big indicator of his overall personality. However, not all mom and son relationships are healthy. When you first started dating – he lived alone in a quaint studio apartment – then life financially hit him below the belt. Versus discussing a mature game plan that could have included you and him moving in together to save money – he immediately ran back home to mama. Or from another perspective – when you met him – he was still living at home with his mom – well into his late 20’s and 30’s – forget about it if he’s in his 40’s. Please factor in that all this is going down while he has a full-time job + benefits. No excuse.

Holidays are big for you – especially since your entire family lives out of town. So when planning your Thanksgiving and Christmas plans – he notes – I’ve never spent the holidays with anyone outside of my mother. If he even seems slightly afraid to break their tradition and go out of state with you – you’ve got some problems on your hands. Co-dependency on high!
Lack of Responsibility
Another serious warning sign – he has children – but the person who appears to be raising them is his mom. He seems more like siblings to his kids than a father. If you look at it from a bigger perspective – he doesn’t want the responsibility of full-time fatherhood. He wants his mom to do it.
Two Against One
Let’s talk about arguments! Every time the both of you get into a big disagreement – the first person he runs to is his mother for a solution. She is known to add her 2 cents in – which somehow never makes your arguments easier – in fact, her opinions make your arguments more volatile.

She wants to do a credit check on you before he can commit. Early in the relationship, he stresses how important it is for his mom to like the woman he dates. Your initial meeting feels like a job interview versus a casual ‘get to know you.’

This is a true warning sign – so pay attention. The only thing your man has in his name is his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Every bill is in his mother’s name. Because he is so irresponsible – Mr. Right can’t get a lease, mobile number or any form of utilities in his name. Guess who he will be relying on next?
