Columbus Short Explains How He Ended Up With Karrine Steffans

It’s hard to keep up with what’s going on with Columbus Short. His life moves so fast, you just never know what we’ll be reporting next. The last time we reported on him, we were talking about his engagement to Aida Abramyan.

But if you’re like me, you might be wondering what happened to Karrine? Early this year, both Karrine and Short claimed that they tied the knot. Though Short now claims it was never legal. Then Steffans accused him of cheating. And while Steffans tried to say that she was willing to stay with him and work it out, the writing was on the wall. They were over.

Still, I wanted answers.

And thankfully, Raquel Harper, who works for TMZ, asked the question…bluntly.

Racquel: How did you…

Columbus: How did I end up with Superhead?

She tracked me down. She hunted me down and I was homeless.

How were you homeless when you’re making that much money?

You got a lot of people pulling at you?

Did you blow all the Scandal money on…

On drugs? No. On women? No.  My ex wife got me. But it’s all good. I ended up with Karrine—I’ll give her that respect because she’s really a smart girl. Genuinely. But too smart, too clever, thinks she’s too clever.

So it’s the smartness, I thought it was the head?

No it’s not that good. It’s mediocre. It’s just a name.

So you and her were never married. So why was she saying that?

I’m not going to put her out there like that. But I was stupid. I let her into a lot of my personal affairs, which then she held over me. If you don’t say this, then I’m going to do this. If you do this, I’m going to do this.

But you know who you were dealing with though?

As soon as I got— I was like ‘Damn, Damn, Damn!’  Got me!
