It’s always nice to see couples cuddled up in love and experiencing the true essence of a fulfilling relationship. There is nothing more special than seeing two people happy together. Yet there are some quirks that couples have that make it hard to determine if they are just cute or crazy.
Below are a few interesting things that couples have shared with me that they have been either respected for or highly criticize for. I will let you be the judge and tell me if they are crazy or cute:
Sharing Passwords
Whether it is email passwords, phone/voicemail passwords or bank passwords, these couples don’t keep any secrets from each other. They believe in the mantra “sharing is caring” and expect nothing less. Their theory for over sharing is that once you become “one” there should be nothing to hide.
No Separate Vacations
The majority of the couples who practice this are married folks. Generally from the old school they believe married women and men should not take separate vacations. Meaning no more all girls/guys trips once you become a Mr. and Mrs. However there were some non-married folks who believe in this as well. I will let you be the judge…
Investing without Marriage
These non-married couples have purchased homes together, cars and other properties without any legal protection of their own. Unconcerned if they will lose out on their investment if things go sour, they believe in the power of love and that no matter what they will be together forever and don’t need a piece paper to confirm their assets.
Married but live apart
The most unique one out of them all were the married couples who amicably decided to live apart rather than together. These folks are happily married and in love but believe they get along much better living apart. Some live in different states while others were as close as around the corner. These couples had a liberal yet honest approach to love – to do what works for you.
Date but never marry
On the flip side, there are couples who have chosen to never marry but rather continue to date each other. For their own personal reasons, they’ve selected to live their love on their own terms and not let society dictate to them how to be happy.
Refuse to join social networks like Facebook
These anti-social couples have decided to close their social networking pages or never open one because the only socializing they need to do is with each other. Plus they strongly believe that networks like Facebook/Twitter are nothing but space and opportunity for inappropriate behaviors and re-connections with the past.
