If the trending hashtags #FingerWaves and #FingerWavesOnFleek are any indication, the finger wave hairstyle is making a serious comeback!  The wavy, sleek style, initially made popular in the Roaring ’20s and 1930s was also a huge hit in the ‘90s (along with pixie cuts, thick, Patra-style individual braids, and a bunch of other trendy hairstyles).  It’s a style that we’ve seen on everyone from Josephine Baker to Tyra Banks to Halle Berry, Toni Braxton and even the late Prince.  Today, more celebrities are rocking the ‘do, along with every day, stylish folks who are proving that some looks never go out of style.  And unlike before, we’re seeing more innovative variations of the sophisticated ‘do – finger waves with bold and unexpected colors, partial finger waves made on either side of a part, finger waves mixed with soft pin curls, and much, much more.  See for yourself some of the many examples.  Will you be rocking finger waves in the near future?
