Mornings are miserable for everyone—except for those rare freaks of nature who enjoy them, but nobody understands them. If you’re in a relationship, then you have one of the greatest resources right at your pillow tips to help mornings be a little bit better—your partner! Unfortunately most couples just drag their bodies around the house in the morning, half asleep, grunting and bumping into each other while trying to get ready. Hey, sometimes talking to somebody first thing in the morning is the last thing you want to do. But, if you toss some mouthwash in your mouth and rub your eyes, you can actually really benefit from interacting more with your partner in the morning. Do one maintenance thing

At the end of the day, you don’t want to take out the trash or wipe down the bathroom counter tops. If each of you does just one maintenance chore in the morning, you’ve saved yourself a little more time to be together at night.

Sometimes, just keeping in mind that you get to be together at night again keeps you going throughout the day. Take a minute to talk about what you two would like to do for dinner—it gives you something to look forward to.

Put a little money in the vacation fund

Get out an old fashioned piggy bank and, every morning put a little something in it. It can literally be fifty cents each. But that moment of putting that money in the jar labeled, “Bahamas” will give you both more purpose throughout your day.
