Who says athletes don’t have style? Topping the ‘best dressed’ lists alongside some of the most stylish celebrities, many athletes have started to embrace fashion and demonstrate their personal style.  Trading in their sweats for tailored suits, most of these men have enlisted the help of personal stylists to create a signature look that compliments their tastes. From Dwyane Wade’s love for pin-striped suits to Lebron James’s secret obsession with blazers, what’s not to love about an in-shape, Hot athlete who also knows how to dress?

Lebron James

Lebron may lose his cool on the court, but his style isn’t lacking on the cool points. Named one of GQ Magazine’s 25 most stylish men of 2010, the Miami Heat baller is known to rock some of the most fashionable designers like Ralph Lauren, Gucci, and Yves Saint Laurent.  James has even been on the cover of one of the leading fashion publications, Vogue, and featured on the Forbes list of best dressed athletes.

Carmelo Anthony

Whether he’s taken recommendations from a stylist or even his fashionista wife La La, Carmelo Anthony has subtly become one of the most stylish men in the NBA. The New York Knicks player, who ditched the cornrows, baggy jeans and headbands for a low cut, blazers and fitted suits, was recently featured in the July/August issue of L’Uomo Vogue rocking a tailored suit and a top hat.

Dwyane Wade

Name a list of the most stylish athletes and Miami heat baller, Dwyane Wade, will more than likely hold a spot on the list. In an interview with Men’s Fitness, Wade revealed his style secret, saying “Trust your gut. Always follow your own fashion instincts. Let your personality reflect in how you dress. It’ll make you feel better about yourself.”

Reggie Bush

While the paparazzi were wooed by Kim Kardashian’s style, we couldn’t help but notice her boyfriend at the time, Reggie Bush, didn’t lag far behind in the style department.  Often spotted in tailored suits, vests, and pea coats, the former Super Bowl Champion, always seems to look clean and crisp.

Derrick Rose

Chicago Bulls star, and the NBA’s voted league MVP, Derrick Rose, may look like a young school boy on the court. But off the court, he can quickly transform into one of the most stylish athletes you’ll ever meet. Featured in GQ, Rose’s multiple page photo shoot showcased the NBA star in an array of bright colors and dapper suits.  Although choosing not to dress like a European runway model while on the social scene, Rose can still be spotted looking casually cool in some of the hottest designers.

Amare Stoudemire

Rocking plaid shirts, pastel suits, and questionably fashionable glasses, Amare Stoudemire recently switched up his look–and we like it. Could it be the influence of his friend and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour? Although he piles on the ‘preppy’ attire, almost to a fault, he still manages to pull it off with a certain swag.

Darren Sharper

His last name says it all. When Darren Sharper steps out, he’s definitely dressed sharp and dapper. Besides being all-around gorgeous (THOSE DIMPLES), the man can wear a suit like nobody’s business! Darren usually goes for contrasting darker shades when it comes to his pieces, and though he doesn’t go the tailored route, the suits form to his body VERY nicely.

Dhani Jones

If you’ve ever seen current NFL free-agent Dhani Jones without a bow-tie plastered to his shirt, chances are he was probably busy on the football field in his uniform. His love for other dressy pieces like button ups and colorful sweater vests landed him on many style lists as he attempted to revamp the bow-tie fad. Recently, Jones turned his love for fashion into a good cause with the “Bow Tie Cause,” an initiative formed to motivate under-privileged middle and high school youth to attend college.

Kobe Bryant

Although synonymous with basketball, Kobe Bryant has also received a lot of love off the court for his style of dress. Although it’s hard to picture Bryant in anything but  purple and gold, the Lakers’ most valuable baller has been featured in L’Uomo Vogue and GQ, with full fashion spreads.
