It’s happened to us all; we’re getting ready for a first date (and lord have we been on plenty of those) and suddenly, we get butterflies. We’re nervous. In fact, we feel like a kid again. Why are we nervous? We have dates down to a science, a math, or any of the other classes we barely passed in college. It’s unexplainable…at first. If you’re in a happy, committed relationship now, you probably realize that you felt nervous before your first date. ‘You realize that you felt as excited and clueless as you did during your first date when you were 13 years old. That’s how its supposed to be; the right partner makes you feel like a kid again. And that’s because being a kid was awesome. You didn’t know anything about insecurities or fears or inhibitions yet. If you can get back to that place with somebody, hold onto him.
