If you’ve followed Kelly Price’s career; and even her recent appearance on TV One’s “R&B Divas,” you know that she has struggled with her weight. She’d loss a significant amount, like she did 2006-2007 and then would gain some of it back and then lose it again.
In an old interview with CBN, Price said that her weight has always been a concern for record company executives, including one who told her “nobody wanted to look at a fat girl sing.” Another threatened not to release her project unless she lost weight.
Price said that once she became famous and her clothes were being custom made, she didn’t have to worry about sizes or weighing herself. And she’d gotten to be over 300 pounds.
She said that she has a very sluggish metabolism, so it’s imperative that she stay active and mobile if she wants to remain healthy
And on her Instagram page, she shared that it’s been difficult for her to do that, due to depression at the loss of her sister.

Thankfully, on April 20th of this year, she decided to make a change. And in just 8 months, she’s been able to make much progress.
