Andie MacDowell

Andie MacDowell said she’s been happy with her weight her entire career, even when the agency representing her wasn’t:

“There was a time when someone complained to my agency that I was overweight. It was after I’d been in New York for a few years, and I was trying to figure out how to maintain my weight. I was 132 pounds then, and I’m 5-foot-8 — and still eat healthy and exercise. So I said, ‘Tell them not to book me. This is the best I can do.’

And shortly after, I got Calvin Klein commercials and a movie, so it didn’t stop me … Right now I’m about 137 to 138 pounds and I feel pretty good about it. Also, as soon as you get older, your face starts to look drawn — that’s why I think I’m better off with those 5 extra pounds.”

Sofia Vergara

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara wasn’t afraid to tell Shape that her curvaceous 5’7″ frame is usually about 125 pounds. But the star said that she allows herself “a window of three to five pounds when I’m not working. But I don’t ever want to get super skinny. I think when women reach a certain age, they look better with a little fat in their face. I’m lucky I’m Latin because people expect me to be a bit more plump.”

Katy Perry

A 5′ 8″ Katy Perry opened up about her struggle to accept her weight in Elle:

“I’m generally around 130 pounds, which is totally fine for me. But when I was a kid, I was the same height and weighed more like 145. And I had enormous boobs that I didn’t know what to do with, so I wore minimizers, which were not cute.

Those thick-a– straps! I got made fun of for the ‘over-the-shoulder boulder holder’ … and all I wanted was to look like Kate Moss. Little did I know … that these things would come in handy some day.”

Zoe Saldana

Allure magazine was the one that outed Zoe Saldana’s weight with the headline “115 Pounds of Grit and Heartache.” And although most of us would have freaked out to see our weight in the tabloids, the 5’7″ star wasn’t bothered:

“This is how much I weigh, it’s something I can’t control, it’s who I am. I don’t think it was to make an issue of my weight. I think it was to say for a lightweight person, I seem to be really strong-minded.”
