Wait two weeks post-op to have sex
If your partner has new boobs, you’ll need to wait about two weeks after her operation to have sex. Before then, sex can lead to a hematoma—a collection of blood around the implant within the tissue.

Keep it gentle for six weeks
Playing with or handling her boobs before six weeks post-op can dislodge the implant, so hands off at first.

And no bouncing until 12 weeks
Don’t let your partner bounce around a lot during sex until at least 12 weeks after surgery.

Sex might be better for her
According to one study, many women report enjoying sex more after having implants put in. The women reported having an easier time reaching orgasm after undergoing surgery.

Why is sex better for her?
Plastic surgeons believe that the implants can give a woman confidence about something she was previously insecure about. If your partner felt insecure about her body before, she may not have been completely allowing herself to enjoy sex.

Are they noticeable to the touch?
If your partner had very small boobs before her implants, you might feel the actual implants. She has less natural tissue to cushion them.

One way to provide cushion for them
But if you want to feel the actual implants for some reason, know that if they were placed under your partner’s muscle it will be hard to feel them with your hand.

What about nipple sensation?
It is likely that after having implants put in, a woman will lose sensation in her nipples or at least experience reduced sensation.

But the nipples still feel things
She may not feel much stimulation via her nipples, but the nipples are still very much alert and respond to touch, to cold and other stimuli. Translation: they’ll still get hard if you play with them!

Hypersensitivity
The opposite could happen too: Some women report having extremely sensitive breasts and nipples after breast augmentation.

Which feels more real: silicone or saline?
If your partner has silicone implants, these will look and feel more real. Saline ones might create little ripples around the implant.

They were pricey so pay attention
The average cost of breast augmentation is just shy of $4,000. So if your partner shelled out the money for her implants, you should shell out the attention. She probably wants you to notice them, and have fun with them, during sex.

Can you pop the implant?
Most implants are supposed to be able to withstand a lot of pressure. That being said, I don’t know what you’re into in bed, but don’t do anything extreme–like sit on her chest. Implants can pop and it’s very painful and dangerous.

Can you move the implant?
If your partner’s implant is under her muscle, you might notice it move if you’re performing all sorts of acrobatics in bed. This is normal.
