Jill Scott

In an honest interview about interracial dating, Jill Scott admitted to wincing a little bit when her friend told her he was marrying a White woman. Scott said it was more about history than racism. So despite the changing times and acceptance of interracial relationships by many, “there is a bite, no matter the ointment, that has yet to stop burning.”

Do you agree?

K. Michelle

She recently said, “I’m [going] to get married to a nice white man. I really think they’re attractive.” She went on to say, “I think men take black women for granted in America. I loved the ‘mannerisms’ of the British and how they treat women. In the UK they absolutely adore Black women…”

Should we all head abroad? Or is K. Michelle missing some good things about the men back home?

Ice-T

Ice-T says growing up around players taught him to take a “Baskin-Robbins” approach to dating all flavors of women. But he says it’s Black women who don’t have the same policy. Why? “I’ll tell you the problem with the Black female: Here you go, here’s your quote: It’s that Black men will f**k anything. And Black women are just attracted to Black men. And that’s what throws the f–king balance off.”

Dennis Rodman

Dennis Rodman said his experiences have influenced his dating habits:

“I go out with White women. This makes a lot of people unhappy, mostly Black women. I’ve had them come up to me and say, `Why don’t you date a Black woman?’ Black women didn’t accept me when I was younger. I wasn’t attractive. I didn’t have money or fancy clothes. I wasn’t whatever it was they wanted.”

Lindsay Lohan

The former child star once told Elle that while Black rappers love her, she has a preference:

“Black guys love me – Damon Dash, P. Diddy. 50 called my agent for my number. He said he was watching Mean Girls and loved it. I was freaking out! The first thing I thought was, ‘Where’s Eminem?’ I’m in love with him!”

Eminem has made it clear that the feeling is not mutual.

Jon B.

Singer Jon B. said he loves black women for many reasons:

“It’s not that I prefer black girls, but that’s who I find myself relating to as a human being. I am also attracted to really ghetto girls, straight out the hood…a thickey, a real ‘pass the hot sauce’ type girl.”

Whoopi Goldberg

When it comes to race and dating, the comedian says it’s complicated:

“First off, I have dated black men. But a woman with power is a problem for any man, but particularly a black man, because it’s hard for them to get power. I understand that, but I have to have a life, and that means dating the men that want to date me.”

Halle Berry

Why doesn’t Halle Berry date Black men anymore? She said it just never worked out:

“I tried black men. I tried. I married two black men. You know I tried. I don’t hold all black males responsible because of two bad eggs I got. I even dated black men after my last divorce, but this is just where I found love.”
