There is no denying that Andy Cohen is one of reality television’s most successful figures. Not only is he behind such guilty pleasures as The Real Housewives franchise and Watch What Happens: Live, but he has also managed to gain notoriety in front of the camera. But the press swirling around Cohen hasn’t always been positive. Actually, who are we kidding? There is about a 65 percent chance that every time Cohen opens his mouth, something offensive and just plain d**kish will come flying out. So in honor of his inability to play nice, we take a look back at some of Andy Cohen’s most obnoxious moments.

To Amandla Stenberg
Andy Cohen took some serious heat after making “Hunger Games” star Amandla Stenberg’s comments towards Kylie Jenner about cultural appropriation “Jackhole of the Day” on Watch What Happens Live (WWHL). Stenberg contended that Jenner wearing cornrows showed she was willing to appropriate Black culture, but wasn’t willing to actually take part in a meaningful conversation about issues affecting Black people. And of course, any elevated conversation is so foreign to the man in charge of Real Housewives that we’re not surprised he wasn’t down for the cause. But, to be fair, Cohen ultimately said sorry, tweeting, “I want to apologize to Amandla. I didn’t understand the larger context of this cultural discussion and TRULY meant no disrespect to her or anyone else.”

To The PS 22 Choir
If there is one group of people who certainly don’t deserve the ire of Andy Cohen, it is a children’s choir. PS 22, which was selected to sing “Over The Rainbow” to close out the 2011 Academy Awards, did not impress Mr. Cohen: “… Like I don’t need to see that. It was just bad. It was just awful. It was horrible. I literally, if I wasn’t going to go out to some parties, I would have slit them right then. It was the worst. I was looking for a knife to stick in my eyes. It was so terrible.” Again, he apologized, but this jab was a lot harder for us to look past.

To Samantha Smith
Reporter Samantha Smith ruffled a few feathers when she asked professional tennis player Eugenie Bouchard (who had just defeated Ana Ivanovic in their Australian Open match) which celebrity she would date. Sexist and completely unnecessary, the comment really was a boneheaded move by Smith. But not to be outdone on the bonehead front, Andy Cohen swooped in while appearing on NBC’s “Today” and referred to Smith as “that poor lesbian reporter.” Not cool.

To Adrienne Maloof
OK, look, it’s difficult for us to be sympathetic to any of the Real Housewives chicks. They’re vapid, annoying and completely disconnected from actual reality. But we could kind of see Adrienne Maloof’s issue with Andy Cohen taking shots at her due to her absence from one of the notorious reunion shows. During one of the reunion specials, Cohen said, “Adrienne won’t be here to tell her side of the story. Not only is she absent tonight, but she won’t be on the show next season. Adrienne Maloof’s final act as a Housewife was not showing up tonight.”

To Lance Bass
While this may not have been an insult, we’re going to toss this in the A-hole pile for Cohen because he aired out dirty laundry. Cohen revealed more information than necessary when he told the world that Lance Bass was the most famous person he ever had sex with. Bass ultimately responded on Sirius radio show Dirty Pop by saying “Sex is a broad term … like ‘Andy banged Lance’ — when did he ever say that? This is an old story. Three years ago we told everyone we hooked up … Now it’s getting into who did who? I can just tell you right now, there was no Andy D going in my B.” Andy, some things should be kept private, don’t you think?

To Kim Richards
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards has battled substance and alcohol abuse for years. Any loyal viewer of the show can admit that it has been truly heartbreaking to watch her downward spiral. And while there are many sources of blame for her troubles, we wonder why Cohen did not intervene more. As overlord of this incredibly hostile, hot mess of a show, could he not have pushed for Kim to be insulated from such a negative situation? It’s not always just about ratings.

To Caitlyn Jenner
Hindsight is definitely 20/20, so we won’t ride Andy Cohen too hard for the barrage of cruel comments he made about Bruce Jenner’s appearance in the months before announcing a transition to Caitlyn Jenner. But he definitely treated Jenner roughly as she struggled to embrace her new identity.

To Anthony Bourdain
There is nothing more annoying or a bigger waste of time than a Twitter feud. This one stems from Bravo accepting a $200,000 payout from the BP oil spill settlement fund to bring Top Chef to New Orleans. While some were pleased that the NO would benefit from a little tourism boosting and exposure, others — including Anthony Bourdain — were horrified that Bravo was essentially taking money from a disaster relief fund. Bourdain tweeted that he felt the money would be better served going to an actual business in New Orleans. Cohen disagreed, firing back: “@Bourdain read to the bottom, explains what the BP fund actually is — http://www.thebraiser.com/bp-paying-for-top-chef-new-orleans/ … then call me abt Treme’s tax credits from NOLA.” (Treme is a show that Bourdain would periodically write for). Too much ego and anger all around on this one. Just stop!

To Ramona Singer
On the one hand, there is no denying that part of Andy Cohen’s job is to stoke the flames of drama and controversy as much as he can. But we have to say that sometimes things get a little out of hand. Case in point, when Cohen went in on Real Housewives of New York star Ramona Singer in the aftermath of her divorce. With Singer visibly uncomfortable, Cohen refused to let the conversation go, causing Singer to lash out and ask Cohen about his sex life. In true A-hole fashion, Cohen snapped, “I’ll tell you when I go on a reality show with whoever I’m having sex with.”

To The World
We won’t sit here and pretend that Andy Cohen isn’t funny or that WWHL isn’t amusing at times. But we also find him quite obnoxious and rude a lot of the time. Andy, please, just try to tone it down a bit, or you’ll have more than just a few Real Housewives pissed at you.
