Do you ever wonder if you’re a lazy lover? If you’re straight, it can be hard to know because you’ve only been with someone of the opposite sex, and you can’t really compare their sensations to yours. So how do you know if you could be doing a little more work? Ask yourself these questions to find out if you’re lazy in bed.

Do you ask, “Can we have sex?”

Once in a blue moon, asking this straightforward question is hot in an aggressive way. But if this is how sex usually starts, you’re just trying to skip the seduction, and that’s lazy!

Do you try to turn snuggling into sex?

You know the move—he is already spooning you and you just sort of start rubbing your butt against him until he gets the point.

Do you wait for him to start foreplay?

You have to initiate the actual, like, sex sometimes. Just adding tongue to the make out does not count as starting foreplay.

Do you touch him for like, a second?

Okay maybe you start it, but do you sort of just start it until he starts on you, and then you let it go? Not fair.

Do you go down there for like, a second?

When you go down on him, do you stay down there for at least 30 seconds? Less than that doesn’t do much to get him in the mood.

Do you go down there at all?

Please tell me you go down there. Even if you’re not amazing at it, he’ll appreciate the effort.

Do you get on top, at all?

Oh no…do you just lay flat and let him do all the work?

Do you make him take off his own clothes?

Give the man a hand and take his pants off with your mouth or something.

Do you buy lube?

Edible, flavored, non-edible, glow in the dark—whatever, just buy some. It shows that you care about everybody’s pleasure and think in advance about these things.

Do you buy condoms?

Those get expensive. You’re just financially lazy (I guess that’s cheap?) if you always expect him to get the condoms.

Do you make him put on the condom?

He might be better at it than you are, so you don’t need to put it on every time, but sometimes it would be nice if you helped out.

Does all sex happen in bed?

Come on—really? Not even in the shower? Or the couch in the bedroom?

Do you have more than three positions?

You don’t need to try a new one every time but…if you’ve been together for a while and you only have three positions, somebody needs to speak up. Maybe that somebody is you.

Have you ever done a little research?

You know like, watched a YouTube video to get tips or read an article on the best lubricants? Do your homework—it shows you care.
