Hollywood Divas” is premiering tonight on TV One at 10 p.m. ET. The show stars actresses who have struggled in the past few to several years with their careers and staying in the limelight: Golden Brooks, Countess Vaughn, Elise Neal and Paula Jai Parker. Also starring is reality star Lisa Wu who is sure to bring the drama. But MadameNoire feels as though there are more black actresses who can use “Hollywood Divas” as a platform to revive their careers — especially if the show branches out into other cities and future seasons.

Shar Jackson

She’s no stranger to drama or reality TV. Her boyfriend Kevin Federline left her for pop icon Britney Spears back in the 2000s and she no longer was the actress mainly known for her role as Niecy on “Moesha.” She became, instead, known as that Black chick who was dumped by that backup dancer White dude. But as she is still close with Countess Vaughn and she is making guest star appearances on “Hollywood Divas” — maybe she can join as regular next season. It’s time she is known for her comedic acting again.

Lark Voorhies

Poor Voorhies has been going through a lot in the past few years — especially with the transformation of her looks and battling mental illness, which she denies. Nevertheless, since her post-“Saved by the Bell” days she has been working. But she can definitely use a platform like “Hollywood Divas” to revitalize her career and tell her story about dealing Bipolar Disorder.

Lela Rochon

Where has she been? Rochon continued acting in popular Black films after her biggest role in “Waiting to Exhale.” But in recent years, she hasn’t been around much — mainly doing guest appearances on TV. She can simply use “Hollywood Divas” to re-expose herself and maybe even detail trying to get a sequel to “Waiting to Exhale” off the ground. It could help her, after all.

Vivica A. Fox

Fox stays working, but she’s no longer one of Black Hollywood’s A-listers. She’s been doing A LOT of b-list movies and in her defense, she’s still doing TV — especially with co-starring on the sitcom, “Mr. Box Office” and the Sci-Fi TV movie, “Sharknado 2: The Second One.” But with many projects in post-production and still having some appeal after so many bad movies and bad plastic surgery, she could definitely lead futures seasons or spinoffs of “Hollywood Divas.”

Persia White

White hasn’t had a part to match playing the sex-positive, free-spirited and downright hilarious Lynn on “Girlfriends.” But she continued acting after starring with Golden Brooks on the show for nearly a decade. But like her character on the sitcom, she seems very free-spirited. In addition to acting, writing and directing on film and on TV, she could use “Hollywood Divas” to bring some diversity in nature on the show and get back out there (while we wait on a “Girlfriends” sequel).

Jill Marie Jones

Jones is another star who continued acting after “Girlfriends.” In fact, she left the show early before its run ended. She had starring roles in The Perfect Holiday, 35 and Ticking and Drool. But she can use “Hollywood Divas” to keep the momentum going and be on the show with her dear friend, Golden Brooks (while we, once again, wait on that “Girlfriends” movie).

Karen Malina White

In the ’80’s and ’90’s, she was absolutely hilarious with every role she touched — starring on some of our favorite Black sitcoms and movies like “The Cosby Show,” “Malcolm and Eddie” and Lean On Me. She acted consistently throughout the late 80s to mid-2000s. But after “The Proud Family Movie” she basically has not starred or c0-starred in anything. And it’s time for her to get back out there.

Kellie Shanygne Williams

She will forever be best known for her role as the beautiful daughter Laura Winslow who had Urkel’s heart on “Family Matters.” Unless she does something about it now. She starred in the movie,”Ride”and “The Parkers” in the late 90s and early 2000s, but we haven’t seen much of her since. And that’s a shame because she’s pretty funny. It’s time she makes a small screen return soon. And “Hollywood Divas” is the perfect platform for her.

Jaimee Foxworth

Wouldn’t it be cool if Foxworth reconnected with her once TV big sister, Kellie S. Williams? The two could star on “Hollywood Divas” together. Foxworth would have a great storyline on the show. She was a child star who asked for more money and got the boot from a popular family sitcom, “Family Matters.” She went on to do several pornographic films under the name “Crave” and had a tumultuous relationship with drugs. After “Oprah’s Where Are They Now?” This could be the next step for her.

Rachel True

True is known for her roles in “The Craft,” “Half Baked” and as Mona on “Half & Half.” But after starring in movies and on TV, she hasn’t done too much since her days on the sitcom. She has been doing guest appearances on TV and had a small part Vivica A. Fox’s movie, Sharknado 2. Poor True. Get back out there! Reality tv could be the right platform for her to showcase her talents.

Tammy Townsend

She never quite reached the fame as other actresses on this list. But she still is talented — appearing as the girlfriend in quite a few sitcoms. Her best known part is perhaps starring as Eddie’ Winslow’s girlfriend Greta on “Family Matters.” Nevertheless, the “Diva” franchise always has a star on their shows whose light dimmed way too soon. She could be that star who never really got the popularity she deserved on the show.

Dawnn Lewis

Lewis did her thing on sitcoms “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper” and “A Different World” in the 90s. But since then, she hasn’t had a major role, but guest star appearances on shows, playing the mom and bit parts in movies like Dreamgirls. Nevertheless, she has consistently acted in video games, TV movies, plays and animation — with 93 acting credits to her name on imdb.com, excluding her theater experiences. But maybe the show could re-introduce this seasoned actress to mainstream Hollywood again.

Erika Alexander

She is so well-known for her role as Maxine Shaw on “Living Single” she reprised it on “Half & Half.” Although, she continued acting over the years, it’s time we saw her in the same light as we did on the sitcom. Recently, she talked about struggling black actresses in Hollywood to MN. So she shares that experience with the women on the show.

Kim Coles

She is the epitome of funny. She continued to act and take on supporting roles on sitcoms and comedy series after “Living Single” and “In Living Color.” But her fans would like to see her bring her comedy back to TV regularly and maybe, reality TV is the route for her to go.

Jasmine Guy

Guy continued to act throughout the 90s after “A Different World,” but she hasn’t done anything as significant. She clearly has struggled with being in Hollywood, but after so many guest appearances on TV over the years, it makes her fans wish she would return to TV regularly. “Hollywood Divas” might be a great way to expose her outside of “A Different World” reunions.

Maia Campbell

Campbell has gone through a lot in the past decade. Years back, a video of her strung out on drugs surfaced on the Internet as well as a mugshot. And the world wondered what happened to the beautiful actress from Tyrese’s 90s music videos and the sitcom, “In the House.”  Last year, she revealed that she plans on making a comeback and has been staying clean. She was rumored to have a show on TV One last year. But nothing has been produced. Maybe, “Hollywood Divas” could be her TV One show.
