But behind closed doors, the Newark native had a little street in her and when she was ready to settle down, no doubt her managers and executives over at the label were less than enthused that she was marrying Bobby Brown. The former New Edition member was known for his troubles with the law and was crowned the bad boy of R&B for a reason. Many felt it was Brown who had introduced the “I Will Always Love You” singer to drugs and blamed him for her downfall.
