The Pee-Wee Herman

We don’t know who’s more responsible for the Pee-Wee-Herman dance craze: Pee-Wee-Herman himself, or the NFL players who busted this move after nearly every touch down. One thing we do know is that The Pee-Wee Herman was one of the one of the silliest and most entertaining dances of the 80s.

The Chicken Noodle Soup

The Chicken Noodle Soup was just as ridiculous as it’s name, but a lot of fun to do. The dance was simple: just hop and skip from side to side and move your arms. But the good part was adding your own flavor before you put your soda on the side. And you got bonus points if you could freeze when the song suddenly dropped.

The Jump On It

The Carlton might be the most iconic dance to come out of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but we should never forget about Jump On It. It was originally associated with the Sugarhill Gang, but it was Will and Carlton who made it one of the funnest dances to do when you’re feeling goofy.

The Tootsee Roll

The Butterfly uh oh that’s old, let me see you Tootsee Roll. The Tootsee Roll was the 69 Boyz’ most lasting and radio-friendly contribution to the industry. And for some reason this was one of the hardest dances to teach to your rhythmically challenged friends.

The Kid N Play

All around the world, kids were rewinding their illegally recorded House Party VHS tapes trying to get this dance down. Remember the over the leg jump? Most of us only mastered that one on a trampoline or in the pool. 1000 extra cool points if you nailed Sidney and Sharane’s dance down too.
