When the public got its hands on the now infamous video of Solange physically attacking Jay Z in an elevator while her big sister Beyonce silently watched, we all knew an “SNL” parody was right around the corner. Show regulars Sasheer Zemanta and Jay Pharoahe played the younger sister and the Brooklyn rapper respectively but when Maya Rudolph walked on as the R&B diva, she stole the show.

Sasheer Zemanta Changes Blue Ivy’s Diaper
Maya Rudolph isn’t the only “SNL” cast member who can play Beyonce. Following the backlash the show faced for not having a Black female regular on the show since Rudolph departed in 2007, Sasheer Zemanta was brought onto the sketch series. Although she played younger sister Solange for the season finale, the new addition to the cast has stepped into the “Crazy In Love” singer’s shoes with videos posted on her YouTube channel. In one skit as Beyonce, she attempts trying to change Blue Ivy’s diaper and it’s hilarious.

Beyonce shocked her fans when she unexpectedly dropped an album on them last year without any warning. But as soon as the Beyhive got its hands on “Beyonce,” her songs shot to the top of the charts. “Drunk In Love” was released as a single and the video featured Beyonce dancing on the beach with her husband Jay Z rapping around her. Soon YouTube was filled with “Drunk In Love” renditions but none as hilarious as this dog getting his groove on to the song.

After she left “SNL,” Maya Rudolph left a gaping hole in the cast so she came back on the show to fulfill hosting duties after the movie “Bridesmaids” was released. Damirra Brunson played both artists who talked on the phone with each other via a split screen.
