Hey y’all! Not too long ago I wrote an article about celebrities who were in music videos. The list that I found was so long that I had to break it down to two separate articles. This list is going to contain mainly professional actors (the reality stars have their list here). Now, there might be some surprises, some obvious cameos, but I hope that it’s all fun! At the very least, enjoy some great music. Let’s get to it, shall we?
“Liberian Girl” – Michael Jackson
I had to start this list off with not just the “King of Pop,” but the Emperor of Music Videos (can I trademark that?). The video has cameos of over 30 celebrities. To name a few, Whoopi Goldberg, Beverly Johnson, Quincy Jones, Sherman Hemsley, John Travolta, David Copperfield, Danny Glover, and Steve Guttenberg. Some of the celebrities are lip syncing lyrics, some are socializing, but all are waiting for Michael to make his entrance, which he reveals (at the end) that he was there the whole time.
“Touch the Sky” – Kanye West
Last list was written around the time of Kim’s and Kanye’s wedding, and I don’t know about anyone else, but I was on Kimye overkill. However, no matter what you feel about his private life, Kanye has proven himself a genius lyrically and visually. In his ode to Evel Knievel’s failed jump across Snake River Canyon, Kanye dons the suit of a daredevil while accompanied by the acting skills of some accomplished ladies.
“Just Like Me”- Jamie Foxx

You can’t play a player, and Jamie Foxx learned this in his hit song “Just Like Me,” which included the talented Taraji P. Henson in the visuals.
“Cyclone”- Baby Bash
When I first wanted to do this topic, it was because I thought I saw Michelle Rodriguez in Baby Bash’s “Suga Suga” video, but I couldn’t confirm it. But I could confirm this sighting! Okay, now if you blinked you can miss this cameo. But if you pause the video at 2:19, you’ll see the BAMF that is Danny Trejo. Get it, Mr. Trejo!
“The New Workout Plan”- Kanye West
If you’re looking for a rapper, a baller, or at least a dude with a car, look no further than Kanye West’s “The New Workout Plan,” where he schools you on how to get your body right and tight (or least get you to stop working at the mall). You can also see cameos from Anna Nicole Smith and Tracee Ellis Ross (hilarious!).
“Frontin'”- Pharrell and Jay Z
Before she was “New-New” on ATL, Lauren London was a video vixen who was transitioning into acting. But, before she made the full change, she appeared in (pre-“Happy”) Pharrell’s video “Frontin'” with a (pre-shower rod) Mimi Faust.
“Stan”- Eminem
After winning my heart in one of my favorite childhood movies Little Giants, Devon Sawa went on to a sustainable acting career, and revealed that he could take on a dark role with the visuals for Eminem’s song “Stan.”
“Cry Baby”- Cee-Lo
When Cee-Lo Green wasn’t available for his own video, he hired the talented Jaleel White who won audiences over as the iconic Steve Urkel in the hit show “Family Matters.” There’s also a cameo from the up and coming actress, Tanya Chisholm.
“All Falls Down”- Kanye West
In one of Kanye West’s most paramount songs, the video is shown from his point of view as he sees his girlfriend (played by Stacy Dash) off at the airport. In the video you’ll also see his GOOD Music cohorts, along with a pre-Love and Hip Hop Consequence. Regardless of what you feel about Kanye West or Stacey Dash, most people can still look at this video very fondly.
“Rain on Me”- Ashanti
When Ashanti was known as the first woman of “Murder Inc.” she released the incredible visuals for the song “Rain on Me,” which had the talented Larenz Tate as her abusive, philandering boyfriend.
“Halo”- Beyoncé
From an abusive boyfriend, to a supportive one, we come across Michael Ealy as Beyonce’s love interest in her hit song “Halo,” while she expresses the large influence and support the man in her life gives her.
“Miss Independent”- Ne-Yo
If you walk like a boss, talk like a boss, and can do for yourself, you are making Ne-Yo proud. (Give yourself a round of applause, ladies!). While exalting the women who essentially have their own, Ne-Yo had top actresses Gabrielle Union and Lauren London (along with Keri Hilson) to appear in the corresponding video.
“The Break-Up Song”- Wale
Okay, okay, okay. I know that Morgan Freeman wasn’t ACTUALLY in this video, but he provided the narration in the beginning. Morgan Freeman’s voice is so powerful that it’s almost like it’s own person, right? Enjoy the video!
