Kanye West and Brooke Crittendon
Before there was Kim or even Amber, Kanye West was arm and arm with ex-girlfriend Brooke Crittendon after the release of The College Dropout. They dated for more than a year (she says about two and a half), but there were rumors they split partly because she was allegedly running around talking crazy on MySpace (throwback!). Who really knows the truth though? What Crittendon does know, that she decided to share last year, is that Kanye is insecure. Well, duh. She told The Sun:
“He was not macho. He needed you to be with him and needed your opinion. He was quite vulnerable.
He was insecure as he couldn’t be with me every day. I got the impression he worried he wasn’t good enough for me. He needs people to tell him he is good and that he is needed and wanted.”
