Since January 5th, 1911 the brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi have continued to build upon a rich history of leadership, academic excellence and brotherhood. The fraternity was founded at Indiana University Bloomington by 10 African American men who believed in community and solidarity. Arthur Ashe

The late, great Arthur Ashe was the first black player ever selected to the United States Davis Cup team and the only black man to ever win the singles title at Wimbledon, the US Open, and the Australian Open. He also pledged the Upsilon chapter of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity at University of California, Los Angeles.
