K-Ci Opens Up About Relationship With Mary J. Blige

When it comes to tumultuous celebrity relationships, Mary J. Blige and Cedric “K-Ci” Hailey definitely make the list. During a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the Jodeci singer dished on their 12-year relationship and why he believes it crashed and burned.

“We had fun man. We was young. It just exploded,” he explained. “I’m not gon’ lie, I did some things. She couldn’t take that heat.”

He also recalled an incident where Mary hopped on stage and confronted a fan for getting out of hand.

”I remember one night in London she came up on stage and snatched the mic from my hand. She told this girl in the front row, ‘B-tch, don’t you ever touch my man again.’ I couldn’t take that no more. She use to break up our [hotel] parties.”

When asked whether or not he believes Mary is his soulmate, K-Ci had this to say:

“I was in love with Mary. She never did anything wrong to me. She always gave me my props.”

Speaking of throwback relationships, K-Ci’s group member Dalvin also dished on his relationship TLC’s T-Boz.

“That was a cool relationship it was fun,” said Dalvin.

And then, K-Ci started to reminisce about double dates with Mary and T-Boz, but Dalvin wasn’t with it.

“Man I’m not talking about T-Boz and Mary stories up here man [laughs].”
