Shoot, I even noticed some white women side-eying this pick! We, of course, know by now that this list isn’t really for us, but we still decided to have a little fun with it anyway and put forth our own suggestions for the true sexiest man alive. Idris did get an honorable mention in People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” issue, but it’s about time this man gets the whole kit and kaboodle, i.e. the cover. This is a fine specimen and every woman under the rainbow can appreciate his beauty.

JT got an acknowledgment from People as well, but we’re still surprised he didn’t take the prize. 2013 was a big comeback year for the former N’Sync singer and women still swoon over him like they did in his “Bye Bye Bye” days.

This is a stretch since Morris has been under the radar for a bit, but the way he came back in “The Best Man Holiday” tells us he at least needs to be a contender for 2014. That bald head, that sculpted v-cut in his abs, that smile. Lawd have mercy, Jesus!

We forgot Taye is kinda fine too until we saw him in “The Best Man Holiday,” but the truth is we’re the ones who’ve been sleeping. Women everywhere loved Taye Diggs on “Private Practice” and we think People‘s list could use a little more chocolate.

The whole Miley Cyrus-VMA incident did knock Robin Thicke’s sex appeal down a few notches, but let’s be real, he’s still one of the smoothest and most soulful white boys around and 2013 was definitely his year. People should’ve hopped on that.

As another man who will be featured in the “Sexiest Man Alive” issue, we say People should’ve gone ahead and taken the risk of making Pharrell The sexiest man alive. There’s nothing about Pharrell that isn’t insanely adorable, and add to that the fact that he remains one of the most talented producers in the game and it gets no sexier.

John Slattery totally brought the sexay back to silver foxes when he joined “Mad Men” in 2007. Though he may be a little up there in age, we know plenty of young girls who would give the 51-year-old a chance — if he wasn’t happily married.

Uh, hello People! Did you miss the fact that every woman and child has fallen in love with Michael B. Jordan this year. Fruitvale put MBJ on the map in a major way in 2013 and everyone is anxiously awaiting what he’ll do next. Sure, he’s young, but sexay knows no age limits.

When it comes down to it, there really is nothing not to love about Common. Though we would all be floored if People actually recognized him as the sexiest man alive, we were hoping that his role on the AMC western television series Hell on Wheels would at least up his mainstream recognition.
