So much juicy juice involved in relationships, but none juicier than when one (or both parties) stops acting like it’s the end of the world, and starts taking a daggone risk into love already! We’re so glad some of our favoritest celebs in Hollywould WOULD still jump the broom, clean the house, vacuum the living room and get married in this day and age…despite all the break-ups that happen around them. 1. Nicole Richie & Joel Madden
Status: Married Nicole Richie and her long-time boyfriend turned finance tied the knot this Sunday. They have remained in a relationship for four years and have been raising two children together. No word as to whether Paris Hilton made it to their wedding (OK, fine she didn’t), but folks like Gwen Stefani, Ashlee Simpson, Kris Jenner and the groom’s twin brother, Benji Madden were in attendance.
2. Zoe Saldana & Keith Britton
Status: Married The most low-key relationship on the planet (who knew that Zoe Saldana had been dating Keith Britton for ten years?!) blossomed into an engagement this year! So, see? Not every long-term boyfriend wants to retain the “BF” status forever. Beside’s Britton’s a young 33-year-old. His ring came just in time 😉
3. Halle Berry & Olivier Martinez
Status: Dating Halle Berry is back on the dating scene again with the dashing Olivier Martinez. The two began dating in October. She split with Gabriel Aubry, the French-Canadian model back in April. Notice a trend with le French boys, Madame Berry? Ooo…la la!
4. America Ferrera & Ryan Piers Williams
Status: Engaged America Ferrera, the ‘Ugly Betty’ cutie, has engaged her longtime boyfriend, whom she met at the University of South California. He had cast her in one of his student films. How kinky. Well, not really…but congrats, you two young lovers, you!
5. Bobby Brown & Alicia Etheridge
Status: Engaged Bobby Brown, formerly Mr. Whitney Houston, proposed to his girlfriend of three years, Alicia Etheridge, during a concert in Florida this year. The two have an 11-month-old son, Cassius, together. Good luck!
6. Jessica Simpson & Eric Johnson
Status: Engaged Don’t even pretend like Jessica Simpson doesn’t fascinate you! Who could forget how she asked whether ‘Chicken of the Sea’ tuna was actually chicken or tuna? She rocks. And, she’s been wearing a rock, too. She’s now engaged to former football player, Eric Johnson. Now, the two are ready to rock. Alright, alright…just bring on those wedding bells. And er…leave both fish and chicken off the wedding dinner menu altogether (just to be on the safe side).
7. Nick Lachey & Vanessa Minnillo
Status: Engaged We figured since we covered Jessica Simpson and her new beau’s engagement, we might as well throw in Nick Lachey. Ouch – no offense, Lachey, we don’t mean to always make you her shadow. Lachey’s an incredible executive producer and has been dating Minnillo for close to four years and now they’re engaged. We’re so happy for the two of them (read: it’s about damn time). Thanks.
8. Simon Cowell & Mezhgan Hussainy
Status: Engaged This British bloke is what made ‘American Idol,’ and after his departure, who knows the fate of that show? Who knows the fate of anything? Television, romance…it’s all the stuff of life. One thing’s for sure, we wish him and his bride-to-be the best of love and marriage.
9. Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz
Status: Married Life is life…the scenario surrounding Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys was a bit fishy, considering he was married, but they’re both going to have to change their FB relationship statuses. Keys will be changing hers from ‘single’ to ‘married.’ Beatz will be changing his from ‘married to Mashonda Tifrere’ to…’married to Alicia Keys.’
10. Tamera Mowry & Adam Housley
Status: Engaged That’s right, Madame Tamera Mowry’s not letting Tia Mowry be the only married twin in their family! Her boyfriend, FOX News correspondent, Adam Housley proposed to her in Italy. Awww…mama mia! How sweet.
11. Penelope Cruz & Javier Bardem
Status: Married These mega-hot actors from Spain tied the knot this July in the Bahamas! Does anyone know the word for “married” in the Spanish version of Facebook? That’s exactly what their relationship status will now need to say. Congrats to the new couple.
