Ntozake Shange (who recently graced Madame Noire with an exclusive interview) was at the Hip Hop Theater Festival’s 10th Anniversary party last night where she was given the 2010 Hennessy Privilege Award. Madame Shange was presented with the trophy as an acknowledgment for her tremendous contributions to the community through her art and service. The Hip Hop Theater Festival also got a special special treat in the form of a $5,000 check from Moet Hennessy USA.
