America’s Next Top Model finally let male models break into the show. We think it’s long past “about time,” And in honor of Tyra’s groundbreaking move, we have a list of some of the hottest black male models working today.

Shermon Brathwaite

Shermon Braithwaite is from Brooklyn, NY, and attends Medgar Evers College when he’s not lighting up the runway. And get this: back in high school, Shermon considered himself “black, short and ugly”. We wholeheartedly disagree.

Adonis Bosso

Adonis is a native of Montreal, CA. Recently he’s branched out from runway modeling to video modeling. You can check him out in Natalia Kills’ new music video “Problem”.

Rahmell Peebles

Rahmell is from the ATL. Recently, he parlayed his modeling career into an acting gig, starring in the independent film “No Soliciting.” We can’t wait for him to hit the big screen.

Sacha M’baye

Sacha M’Baye was working as a semi-pro footballer when a modeling agent literally chased him down. He’s been modeling ever since so you may have seen his spreads for Gap, American Eagle or in GQ’s style section.

Tidiou M’Baye

That’s right, Sacha has a brother and good genes clearly run in the family. Once Sacha’s career was on a roll, he recruited his younger brother Tidiou and his career quickly grew to include walking for Versace, YMC and Tommy Hilfiger.

Yassine Rahal

Yassine is from Paris via Morocco. Before he made a name for himself, he had a lot of trouble getting established. Modeling agencies told him that he looked “black but not ‘strong'” because he had “a black face but a white body.” We’re not even sure what that means, but we find it hard to believe that he ever had any trouble finding work.

Mathieu Marie Louise

Mathieu Marie Louise is part Indian and part Martinican. He moved to Paris where he started modeling at the age of 7. He broke into the big time after doing an international campaign with Diesel.
