Don’t you just love LOVE? Check out our top eight weddings and proposals in television and film. Do you agree with our number one pick?

8. Kenya and Brian in “Something New”
We like the idea of this beautiful, accomplished woman being brave enough to finally do what makes her happy. Her simple, no-fuss backyard wedding was perfect. Makes you think twice about those crazy women on “Bridezilla.”

7. Andre and Reese (the wrong woman) in “Brown Sugar”
The wedding scene in “Brown Sugar” is not the coupling that you are supposed to root for in this movie, but it is funny. Queen Latifah’s character is hilarious and Reese plays the annoyed bride to a tee. If Sydney had gotten up and stopped the wedding, this would have been the number one pick.

6. Overton and Synclaire on “Living Single”
This episode had a big Max and Kyle storyline too, but it’s always great to see two people who you know should be together actually commit to being together forever. Oh and remember how Overton’s mama was Gladys Knight and his cousin was Desmond Howard? Lots of good cameos on “Living Single.”

5. Mia and Lance in “The Best Man”
Talk about awkward! Nobody really aspires to have a wedding with this much back-story and drama, but it was nice to see Lance be something other than a womanizing goon. Plus, Morris Chestnut sure knows how to make crying look pretty.

4. Lisa and Prince Akeem in “Coming to America”
The wedding scene in “Coming To America” is just priceless. It’s over the top, funny and very sweet. Those words describe the way most people envision their weddings.

3. Tiana and Prince Naveen “Princess and the Frog”

How could we not include our first black Disney princess?

2. Martin and Gina on “Martin”
This is what a girl dreams about her proposal it goes a little something like this. Brian McKnight? Such a great television moment.

1. Dwayne Wayne and Whitley on “A Different World”

That “Baby, please!” from Dwayne Wayne just says it all. Did you cry when you watched this episode for the first time?
