In 2009 Michelle Obama dressed up as a cat, but this year she opted to just be festive instead of donning an actual costume. She paired black slacks, with an orange cardigan and a shiny orange shirt with white trim. Of course she wore a broach as well–her signature style piece.
The First Lady sat down for a one-hour special with Roland Martin to talk about eradicating childhood obesity. She is an advocate of physical activity and healthy eating habits.

Look at your First Lady! We aren’t the only ones who adore her. Michelle Obama took some time to have a little fun during her trip to India with President Obama.
Stunning as usual, First Lady Obama donned a floor-length silver skirt from Rachel Roy’s collection and paired it with a bronze colored tunic. Mrs. Obama frequently uses different textures in her ensembles.
While Mrs. Obama was still in India, the White House released a set of virtual tours of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The White House Kitchen Garden tour features none other than our favorite First Lady, Michelle Obama.
Mosque in India

Out of deference to the customs of the area, First Lady Obama wore a headscarf while touring a mosque in India. Even while being modest, she is still stylish with her animal print headcovering.
Michelle Obama made a surprise visit to U.S. troops and their families at the Ramstein Airbase in Germany. She showed her gratitude by serving them a steak dinner.
Mrs. Obama knows there’s a recession going on right now and she is showing us that she’s not afraid to wear a dress more than once. We first saw this Michael Kors dress in December of 2009 at a White House holiday event and Mrs. Obama brought it out again for a recent Medal of Honor Ceremony. Like all stylish women, she knows how to accessorize to give an ensemble a different look. When she wore this the first time, it was sans cardigan.
Lady O made an appearance at a school in Newark, New Jersey along with Mayor Corey Booker to talk more about her Let’s Move campaign to defeat childhood obesity. She freely doled out hugs and smiles.
