Keeping track of the minor details can sometimes go out the window at the height of morning rush-hour. Mini-disasters pop up everyday at work. When those moments happen like torn pantyhose, a stress headache or when your morning updo becomes a drooping mess–trust in  your office “emergency” kit. If you’re clueless on how to make it through the day in one piece, here are basic items you should have to survive in the office.

Take a look!

1. Box of tissues

Every professional woman should have a box of tissues on the desk in case of an emergency.  When your maniac boss reduces you to tears once again or your thoughtful co-worker passes along her cold, tissues come in handy. Plus, tissue is a make-up bag essential. You can blot, you can smudge, you can fix those little make-up mishaps. Tissue is your friend.

4. Extra pair of pantyhose

Ladies, you’ve have you ever noticed a tear in your pantyhose and wondered how the heck it got there? Next, you’re scrambling to dispose of them  or trying to fix the tear with clear nail polish before your boss and co-workers can say, “You have a run in your tights, miss!” You should keep a watchful eye on your business attire in case something goes wrong, including this. Always keep an extra supply in the desk drawer.

5. Piggy bank for spare change

The accumulation of spare change  can  become a burden. Coins are heavy and they weigh down your purse and clang around in your desk drawer every time you open it. You always get change from your daily coffee run, so start putting it somewhere that’s easily accessible like a piggy bank.  You can use the coins for everyday small things such as trips to the vending machine or buying the newspaper.  Plus, if you get a cute piggy bank, it will spruce up your workspace.

8. Dental products

Floss, mouthwash and a spare toothbrush are necessary items to bring to the office. After you’ve eaten lunch, feel excess food particles stuck in your teeth or want a breath freshener, it’s the time to utilize dental products that will enhance your smile and breath.  You don’t want to be the dragon lady at work!

10. Eye drops

The last thing you want to do is head to a meeting red-eyed. Maybe your contacts are bothering you or it’s allergy season, but you end up looking like you rolled into work from an all night bender. Eye drops may be used to relieve itching and redness of the eyes. Just use a few drops to alleviate  discoloration and irritation.
