In February, we told you that former En Vogue singer Dawn Robinson would be joining Kelly Price, Claudette Ortiz, Chante Moore, Lil Mo and Michel’le as the cast of TV One’s R&B Divas Los Angeles-based spin-off. The network’s press release revealed that much of Dawn’s storyline on the show would revolved around her upcoming book release and her attempts to form another all-girl singing group. Dawn, however, revealed in a recent interview with Sister 2 Sister that the show would also offer a peek into her love life. And, after personal assessment, Dawn Robinson says she’s in a very happy relationship.

“It’s very surprising and I’m happy where I’m at,” Dawn said after confirming that she’s currently seeing someone special,” she expressed.

“That’s a part of who I am and I’m happy that I’m dating someone. I’m in a very happy relationship. It’s brand new for me, but there’s so much more to life than who I’m dating and what I wear,” the 44-year-old songstress continued.

Dawn went on to reveal that she desires to be a mother in the near future.

“I want a child. That’s part of the show as well. I haven’t had children, so that’s a part of my story that I want people to see.”

She also recently opened up to Path Magazine about how excited she is to be starring in R&B Divas: LA.

“I tell my Twitter fans all of the time that there are certain things that you’d never think you would do. I never thought that I’d be doing a reality show, but it’s really a blessing for all of us. It gives us a venue to for the fans that don’t really know who we are and to really get a chance to know who we are, not just from an artist persona, but who we are as a person. It’s a blessing. They asked me to do it last year for Atlanta and I didn’t really want to relocate to Atlanta. I live in L.A. And they came back this year said ‘What about L.A. R&B Divas?’ and I said ‘Yeah, thank you Father.’ I knew a blessing when I saw it, so I took it.”
