Just a week or two ago I was flipping through channels when I came across a movie called La Mission. Benjamin Bratt was the star, and his co-star was one of my favorite people, Erika Alexander of Living Single fame (Maxine Shaw, attorney at law). The movie was actually pretty great (about a father, an ex-con father, trying to cope with the fact that his son is gay), but more importantly, I couldn’t help but notice that even when covered in tattoos and hair, Benjamin Bratt looked like a bag of money (yes, a bag of money). And it made me go back and and look at images from his other movies, including the hilarious Miss Congeniality, the terrible Catwoman and the pretty good Love in the Time of Cholera. Delicious. So with that, I thought, why not explore this man’s fine-ness through an eye candy gallery? Check out what the actor is working with on the next few pages.
Benjamin Bratt is a hot piece of candy isn’t he? Bratt’s background is that of Peruvian, German and English background. Explains that great bone structure!
And as you will notice throughout this slideshow, I actually have a thing for Bratt most when he’s covered in facial hair. But I will say that clean shaven he still looks delicious. Which do you prefer?

You will probably remember this face most from Law & Order. Bratt played Detective Reynaldo Curtis from ’95 to ’99 and even picked up an Emmy nomination for his work.
Anybody else remember those few years he had with Julia Roberts? The two dated from ’98 to to 2001 and just being seen with “America’s Sweetheart” helped him get his fine face out there big time. Julia couldn’t handle all the fine this man had going on anyway…*winks*
On a random side note, doesn’t Bratt look great soaking wet?
In case you needed a reason to check out the movie La Mission…here you go! And no worries, the tattoos are temporary of course.
Though his mother is from Peru, Bratt’s mother is also of Latin-Indian background, a Quechua Indian, and her work as an American Indian activist encouraged him to appreciate and take part in Native American causes and issues.
His brother, Peter Bratt, is also involved in Hollywood, directing films that Benjamin has starred in, including Follow Me Home and La Mission.

But per the usual, as fine as Bratt is, he’s very much taken. After meeting Talia Soto on the set of the movie Blood In Blood Out, Bratt and the actress got married in 2002, and they have two children together. Clearly they’re adorable together, but that doesn’t mean we can’t ogle the man. So is Benjamin Bratt your type of candy? This brown fella is definitely one of our faves…
