Something look drastically different?

It’s been a hot minute since season 5 of The Game came to a close in June of 2012, but since they finished filming, we all know there have been some big changes. For instance, Tia Mowry Hardrict announced via Twitter that she was parting from the show that helped relaunch her career, and while Pooch Hall said he was going to do the same, word on the street is that he’ll return for one episode of season 6, as his character will be traded from San Diego to Baltimore, ultimately disappearing off the face of the planet. So of course, that means no more Melanie or Derwin, and since they were the principal focus of the show it will be interesting to see how the storyline will progress without them. But there’s no stopping BET when they’ve got a hit, and there’s no stopping the talented Mara Brock Akil. That’s why the cast has received a makeover and the storyline will be changing–hopefully for the better. Check out the cast for season six and what their characters will be up to in San Diego this time around.

Tasha Mack – Wendy Raquel Robinson

Word on the BET streets is that Mack will be her old self again, meaning she’ll be snapping on folks but still about her managerial business. I haven’t really been a fan of the Mack character since the early seasons, but since she’s one of the last original cast members left, here’s to hoping her character won’t be soooo ratch this time around.

Malik Wright – Hosea Sanchez

Malik will be in better shape health wise, and he’ll be back to running things on the football field, as he decides if the Sabers are where he wants to be. Wonder what his love life will be like though…

Jason Pitts – Coby Bell

Still trying adjust to his marriage with Brandy’s character of Chardonnay, Jason Pitts will try to use the same antics of being cheap and crazy as he was with ex-wife Kelly when it comes to his new lady. Will that work out for homeboy in the long run? We’ll have to wait and see…

Chardonnay Pitts – Brandy

As random as the Chardonnay character might have been when she debuted last season, she might have the most interesting storyline, as homegirl will have to adjust to being a stepmom to Brittany Pitts and try to fit in with the Sunbeams–of course, the wives club of Saber players.

Keira Whitaker – Lauren London

Well, you knew she was coming to the party…London will be playing a young actress trying to find her way after the cancellation of her very popular family sitcom. So far it doesn’t seem that she’s anybody girlfriend starting off, so how her actress character will fit in with a group of football players, football wives and league movers and shakers I’m not too sure, but we shall see.

Bryce “The Blueprint” Westbrooke – Jay Ellis

The new draft pick that Derwin will most likely be traded for, Bryce Westbrooke will be a recent Ivy League grad who rubs those around him the wrong way by being a know-it-all. And on the field, expectations of him will be mighty high as he takes over the league, and presumably, the lead role on this show. Question is, will you still be watching?

If the answer is yes, you’ll be happy to know that the show’s sixth season premieres on Tuesday, March 26 at 10 p.m. EST, on BET of course. What do you think?
