Before he was the voice of Mufasa, or he was was being named the Best Professional Football Player Ever by SportingNews, they were just good looking dudes trying to make it in their respective careers. James Earl Jones was a dominating theater actor and after having a successful career as a football star, Jim Brown was making his name known as an elite actor and action star. Time has passed and their legacies are well known, but the early days and the hot-ness they had going on, not enough people know about. In honor of Black History Month, we’re taking our Eye Candy down memory lane. Enjoy!

Good looking dudes, good looking stares. While they were around way before there was a “Sexiest Man Alive” award by People, they easily could have been up for it.

And if that wasn’t enough, they had some rock hard bodies back in the day. Even if they were covered in curly taco meat hair. You know you love it!

And nobody did facial hair like these two!

Plus, they were just bada** dudes, right?

And everybody, including folks like Muhammad Ali, were early fans.

Of course, they aren’t necessarily the delicious studs they used to be, but time has done them well, especially in their careers and legacies. James Earl Jones is one of the greatest actors of our time (and probably the dopest voice-over “actor” too…move over Morgan Freeman), and Brown is still picking up football accolades, decades after picking up pigskin. Kudos to them, and I think we can all agree we’d give them the eye…if it were like, 1968..
