Oh, Claudia. Is Blackface Ever Cool?
Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld compiled 20 years worth of photos of supermodel Claudia Schiffer for the 60th issue of Stern Fotografie, a German coffee table style quarterly, according to SassyBella. One of the photos is stirring up a bit of controversy.
The six different covers feature different Claudia’s from Hot secretary to biker chic, but also included is an image of Schiffer made-up as an Asian woman and in darker makeup and wearing an Afro.
Why don’t black models ever get “done-up” in whiteface? Would that be artsy?
Are you offended by the blackface image or is it just a picture?
